Our mission is to design and care for beautiful, meaningful spaces - both inside and out - so you can come home to calm, colour, and comfort.
Tui & the Fantail was born from deeply personal experiences — a journey of love, loss, and growth. What began as a practical approach to landscaping evolved into something far more soulful. After years of seeing gardens as simply functional, caring for my beloved grandmother and supporting my best friend Sophia through her final months awakened in me a deep appreciation for nature, colour, and the healing power of beautiful spaces.
Inspired by Sophia’s courage, her love of gardening, and her favourite bird — the pīwakawaka (fantail) — this business became both a tribute and a purpose. Gardening started as my therapy and creative outlet, and it has since become my calling. Now, I bring that same care, creativity, and energy to others.

With over two decades of experience in hairdressing, I’ve developed a natural eye for detail, design, and personalised service. I now apply that same creativity and intuition to garden styling, light landscaping, and home care. Whether it’s refreshing your garden, preparing your home for a special occasion, or giving your space a thoughtful touch before it goes to market, my goal is simple — to help you fall in love with your space again.
Tui & the Fantail is about more than tidying or planting. It’s about helping people feel good in their homes and reconnect with their surroundings. I may not know every Latin plant name (yet!), but I bring passion, care, and a genuine love for what I do. And as I continue to grow, so too will the magic of this business.
